Love in the Bible is defined as caring in action; a deep enduring concern for another’s welfare, affection, and friendship

Four Types Of Love:
• Philia – brotherly love
• Eros – sexual love
• Storge – familial love
• Agape – unconditional love; Godly love; God’s love for his people



KEY POINTS:

  1. People get confused between love and infatuation
  2. Unless infatuation is replaced with true love it will result in a broken relationship
  3. God’s love is unconditional; it never changes
  4. God is love
  5. God loved us from the beginning
  6. God’s love is eternal; everlasting
  7. God created the world and people to express his love for us
  8. God made us in his image
  9. We all possess the wonderful characteristics of God
  10. We all matter to God; we are all special in the eyes of God
  11. God is about relationships (relationships based on love)
  12. God wants us to have a relationship with him
  13. Love will cause you to give of yourself freely
  14. Love is not selfish; it is not self centered
  15. You have to exercise love in order for it to continue to build
  16. When you love someone dearly you give of yourself freely to the point of self sacrifice
  17. God deserves all the glory, honor, and praise
  18. When you love you are willing to give up your own comfort and security
  19. God’s love is not dependent on what we have or do; or our social status
  20. God breathed the breath of life into us
  21. God’s love can cast out all fear
  22. God has given us each other to love
  23. If God sees that you are ready to love someone, he will bring them in
  24. God’s love is personal
  25. God will never leave you nor forsake you, because he loves you
  26. God wants us to be obedient and about his service
  27. God’s love and desire is so great, he longs for our relationship with him
  28. Meditate on the goodness, grace, and mercy of the Lord
  29. God wants us to see his guidance in all aspects of our lives
  30. Trust in the Lord for all things
